Description
Baie: an ancient Roman city lost to the same volcanoes that entombed Pompeii. But unlike Pompeii, Baiae sits under water, in the Bay of Naples. Nearly 2,000 years ago, the city was an escape for Rome’s rich and powerful elite, a place where they were free of the social restrictions of Roman society.

But then the city sank into the Mediterranean sea, to be forgotten in the annals of history. Now, a team of archaeologists is mapping the underwater ruins and piecing together what life was like in this playground for the rich.

Whilst you relax in your comfortable seats aboard the boat, a diver will descend to make a live film stream of the replica statues which have been carefully substituted for the originals so that these may be preserved in the Campi Flegrei museum.

In real time, an expert aboard will explain what you are seeing.
The excursion includes lunch on the boat, consisting of a seafood starter, mozzarella DOP and much more. Wine and soft drinks are included. After the tour of the nymphaeum, there will be time to relax, sunbathe and swim in the clear waters of Capo Miseno.
